    Rugby League World Cup

    Anybody bothered about this?

I see they are spinning it out for 4 weeks. Surely it would be a lot simpler just for England to play New Zealand to see who plays the Aussies in the final

It's not really proper rugby is it? It holds my attention about as much as the american football on TV later today.
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

Is it on terrestrial TV or only on council TV?

Not that I'm really interested .

Hehe sorry but so called 'proper' rugby is just boring, full of stupid rules, too much emphasis on kicking and penalties and played by misfits

Is there anybody who really cares about this world cup.

Fancy holding an opening ceremony before the third match ! (altho' the Olympic opening ceremony did happen after the football had started).

Last time they had a world cup there were some insane teams in it - ie, 'Emerging Nations' and 'NZ Maoris'.

Saw the highlights as there was nothing else on the box & I'm injured .

Liked the rule which let the ref make a gut decision when the video ref couldn't make his mind up. Maybe Union could use this.

Didn't like the dirty Aussie who used a studs up slide tackle to stop a try. Seems a bit cowardly to me.

I hear Danbert didn't have time to post before driving over to settle the argument over which code is best...
