I Sky+ed it but haven't watched it yet. Had avoided this thread earlier so as not to find out score, but knew NZ had one from somewhere else.

A bit unexpected yes but a few years back I seem to remember a most enjoyable 24-0 in Leeds
Hoping for a far more successful 2009

Marvelous to see the Aussies finishing second in a one horse race

It was a fantastic night at the Suncorp stadium . We assisted the Kiwi supporters with their celebrations long into the night. Don't even remember getting back to the B/B on the other side of Brisbane !

Good man Leeds Rhino. Were you with the thousands of England fans singing ''Always look on the bright side of life" at the end of the game?

Don't know if you know, but Even Nathan Cayless the Kiwi capt said he would like to thank the English fans.

What a great game though. It was the unexpected highlight of my weekend. It was so good to see the Aussies make so many mistakes. NZ just seemed more up for it.

I turned the TV over a little later to have a gander at England v South Africa in the other code.

The difference between the two games was amazing. One was non-stop 100% for 80 mins, the other stop-start and a load of fat lads lying on the ball and Danny Cipriani making a bollocks of the hollywood pass.

I will stick to league thanks.

Did you see the Wales v New Zealand match. The All Blacks scrum half must have a rugby league background because at the scrums he was feeding the ball into the second row

Agreement..........not so much "kick and clap" as clueless crap from "our fine boys".

Did more than a handful of people even notice that the RL World Cup had finished (or started even )?

I used to follow RL but I find it utterly tedious. Despite that shock final result it is very very predictable and lacks the tactical acumen of Union.

Can anyone tell me why retaliation gets tougher penalty than the aggressor/provoker?

Seems obvious get rid of the provocation and the penalty ends.

Oh dear the Aussies beat England again.

That's 12 in a row for the southern hemisphere side.

Then we get the comments saying "the score didn't reflect the game" or "we are improving and narrowing the gap"

Staggers analysis is "as long as you coping something you will never make it better.

From 1982 when I watched my first Aussie tour we have never caught up.
35 years of same old bull.

Arrrr well, knocked out by NZ or lose to the Green & Gold in the final.

The out come is the same.

Bloody hell, England have become so poor and boring.

    Just like watching Southgate's lot.
