    Snowdonia Marathon

    A change from the OMM....

Just seen the S4C coverage - great shot of IainR finishing - well done!!

But a class win from Martin Cox...

Wasn't as bad as the OMM, but it was a tad breezy coming over the final climb! I walked back up there today and the course was shin deep in places, so I think we got lucky!

Conditions weren't too bad. A bit windy at the end, but I finished in 3:04, for those finishing afterwards it certainly got a lot worse and seemed to detoriorate more and more as the afternoon progressed. Really enjoyed it despite having a shocker with my guts; had to do around 10 'Paulas' around the route.

After 21 miles my guts finally stopped playing up and I really enjoyed the run in. Quite happy with my time as I've done no road training, one 13 miler 2 weeks ago has been it really.

I can confirm that the extra hour & 20 that I took made quite a bit of difference

Best coverage so far on S4C of any race I reckon, good balance between leaders, locals and randoms.
