    Which bumbag?

I want to get a bumbag for running but i'm not sure what to get, anybody got any recommendations? I've seen the OMM 3 litre one, the Inov8 race pro 4 and the camelbak alterra or flashflo but don't really know what to go for, has anyone used any of these? Also, I'm not sure whether to go with one that has a bladder in or at least the capacity to take one, or just stick with carrying a bottle in it?

i have the 4 litre inov8, i use it for medium trots (up to 12-13miles). The hydro baldder that invo8 does is two litre capacity . However, i usually only have one litre (if that) in it when running. The tube fits nice in a plastic clip around your waist. With one litre of water, i still manage to get the essentials in: Waterproof top, bottoms, gloves, hat, foil survival blanket, windproof jacket and small first aid kit. Manage to get my mobile and car keys in the little side pocket. Great bit of kit, gets loose sometimes while running especially when the hydro bladder starts emptying, can be tightened up on the run.

There has been a tonne of threads on this. May be worth having a search.

Most people seem to have gone for the OMM 3L or the Innov8.

Interestingly I don't know whether you've seen the OMM Ultra. Its got a 7L capacity and will take a bottle as well. I'm quite tempted to splash the cash on this.

If you're looking for a sizeable one for simplistic minimalism you can't beat the Pete Bland 4l one. It comes with compression straps at the side so can take any amount of stuff without bouncing around and weighs virtually nothing.

I've had plenty of different ones including the Inov-8 4l but all the extra hip pockets, bladder compartments etc weigh so I use the Pete Bland one far more than the rest.

Still using my original Rock and Run bumbag on which I am convinced the Pete Bland 4l version is based.

Bought in late 1984. Bar a few loose threads here and there and the label falling off, its still going strong.

I have others (Lowe Alpine for super-longs with ecxtra capacity and comfort) but the old red R&R model sees the light of day most often.
