Just watching Hugh Fernley Witless, apparently it being Autumn and produce in abundance he was creating many a dish this evening. Now whilst I'm into seasonal fair but more Valentine Warner style as in the 'realistic' stuff ala beetroot and belly of pork.

The question came to me as Hugh was serving up Nettle pasta, Squirrel ragu and skewers of squirrel heart/liver and kidney. Obviously nipping to the woods and humanely trapping the little blighters then blugening them with a big stick!!

Think the worst thing for me though was at school when in an english lesson (yes english!) the teacher brought in Tripe - God I've never eaten anything so disgusting!!

anything more horrendous than that??? well apart from mushrooms?!

Done grey squirrel myself. Shot the little varmint in the back garden. Made cakes with it - potatoe & onion just like fish cakes, but squirrel flesh instead of fish - excellent!! To be honest, can't think of any food that I don't like - it's all fuel for the engine

it's the thought of it isn't it more than anything. Had a game pie last week and it had pigeon in it it was the one thing that put me off but it was quite nice!
