    Re: Xmas List

    Gentlemen,

Some friends would be quite the best Christmas present; there is a thread about how many of us run/bike alone and thats great but there comes a time when a little friendship counts for a lot.

Now for festive frivolity, I notice that running kit lasts a lot longer than other types of 'sports' kit and so stockings (seamed, obviously) are always a safe bet.

The Hope 1, I'm afraid is not quite big enough for my needs, tho having internal batteries saves all those pesky wires getting mucky and having to be wiped down; similarly, does it last long enough?

So, my list will be, some friends, some stockings and cold crisp weather to get in some fun miles.

    Cheap, but not easy!!

The analogy is quite fair now you come to mention it Bladerunner. You can call me Rachael if it will make your Christmas better but no fur coat thanks.

    Bladerunner,

Look at your own Avatar. You will see a beautiful dark haired Replicant in the background; she has no 'retirement date', thats what makes her so special! She wore a gorgeous fur coat (a fake obviously) and her name is Rachael.

    See the connection?

ha...if I'd seen Bladerunner I would have known!! However, the ever helpful Brett did my avatar of his own accord...not a bad one as it happens although my forum name refers to the football club not the film!!

Many critics consider Bladerunner the finest sci-fi film ever made, whatever, it has certainly stood the test of time and is still incredibly popular. Defo rec you watch the Directors Cut; it is well worth the time, honestly.

A fine soundtrack too, well worth a listen without the pictures.
The only one who can tell you "You can't" is you. And you don't have to listen.
