Got my statement and there are payments on there that I haven't made - I admitted to the ones that were!
Anyway card cancelled ...now have to wait for forms to fill in to 'investigate' the matter further

i've had something similar but they did'nt get anything the bank actually rang me asking if i new this company they were trying to take funds out of my account!!!
had to get my cards changed !!!!

..seriously the number of 2nd hand stories of this happening is frighteningly high.

It is getting frigteningly common though.....not massive amounts taken however that's beside the point maybe they think you won't notice as it's not 100's spent??
I can only summise it's come about following online shopping as it was following 2 purchases made to the same place on different occasions that the following little 'borrowings' were taken.
Hopefully I'll get it back??
Happened to me last month, someone tried nicking £497.86.
CC company were very good, they could see that someone had been trying out my card at online gambling sites uintil they got the details correct, then they went mad with it.
As the CC company were reviewing my spendings on my bill they did query who "Wiggle" was.
I got a new card & the money was refunded.
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

Mrs G had a similar problem. Amongst other things, someone had been ordering expensive bouquets !!
The guy at the CC company told her he was one of several people employed full time to deal with nothing but CC fraud.
