Important announcement:
The Fountaine Inn, Linton, once obtusely referred to by Derby Tup as "some tourist boozer", has now axed Bridestones Pennine Gold aswell as Fountaine Pale. It's better to have cycled pissed off one pint and lost than never to have cycled pissed off one pint at all.

Been staying up in Eskdale over weekend, if any ale lovers ever visit the area, make sure you call into Brooke House in Boot, they had 7 ales on tap, all brewed in the district and very lovely a far better experience than Boot Inn or Woolpack
nice man in Majestic gave me a sample of BrewDog Punk IPA to taste - it was GORGEOUS!
(mind you, at £2 per (small) can, it should be!)

Hawkshead Jester and Northern Monk Faith, 2 cracking pints
a couple of Bridestone American Pale followed by a few more Sapolian Darwin's Origin - which really was excellent, lovely copper colour, fantastic fruit flavour balanced out with dry malt and crisp bitterness. All in aid of helping my mate recover completing half his LEJOG . http://www.nicksepicescapade.co.uk/

Some brilliant ales supped this weekend.
In Friends Of Ham on Saturday: a pint of Brass Castle Brewery Burnout Beech Smoked Porter (stunning), followed by a Roosters Maypole Pale Ale.
Then watching the footy yesterday: A Beavertown Black Betty IPA, a Beavertown Smog Rocket Smoked Porter, finished off with a brilliant Redwood American Red Ale from Summer Wine Brewing Co. in Holmfirth.
Hit Otley last night. In Otley Tap House I had a Batemans Black & White which was very good. This was surpassed by a superlative Gold Hobgoblin. Best thing I've supped in ages.
Then in The Old Cock, a pint & a half of Vanilla Rum Stout from Hand Drawn Monkey in Huddersfield. Very quaffable at only 3%.
Friends of Ham, Leeds, yesterday I had a Kernel black IPA, very nice. Followed by a couple of excellent Black Band Porter from Kirkstall.
