Yes I'm the guy who went to Australia. Had a fantastic time, despite England being rubbish . Had a great night in the pub with the Kiwi supporters after the final . I've sent you a pm with a few details, I'm only down the road from Temple Newsam

Just realised the next Cross Country is the day after Rombalds Stride, which I've just sent off the entry form for this lunchtime.

Limbs will be aching a bit for that one then.

You've got more time to recover now MR -I've just had an email informing me the PECO race on Sunday is off due to the icy conditions ( I was probably going to miss it anyway as still struggling with a calf strain).

I'd decided against doing it so as you say I've got more time now. I thought it was pushing it a bit with doing Rombalds today.

I suppose they can't be too careful with the litigious culture we live in and of course I haven't seen the state of the ground where the race was to be held.

Rombalds Stride still went ahead today. It was a bit dicy in places especially on roads and pavements but generally it was wonderful. There was thick snow on the moors which made for quite hard going. But with the clear weather there were terrific views. Really enjoyed it.

This starts again this Sunday at Golden Acre Park. Any forumites doing it, Multiterrainer or Leeds Rhino possibly?

Ay, I'll be doing it so long as I get through the Shepherds Skyline on Saturday in one piece.
Think I'll wear my spikes on Sunday

I was thinking of doing both as well but I'll probably chicken out of Shepherd's Skyline especially since I'm going out on Friday night.

I think we've officially withdrawn from the league but hope to do a couple of races as a 'guest'. Probably not this one as only just getting back into semi-decent training again after injury & manflu but quite fancy the Hunger Hills/Horsforth one in December + Ilkley in Jan.
