    Three Peaks Friday

AliMac and Myself are having a trot round the three peaks on Friday if anyone fancies joining us. We'll be meeting at the cafe about 9:00 in Horton and going from here not long after.

Anybody welcome if you fancy a steady day, we'll be looking at about 5-6hrs pace.

I've just provisionally booked the day off work with my boss. So maybe. Just got to see how my knee is by then.

Still - nice easy pace? Very possibly...

Pretty easy pace SS we are following the walkers route-ish so slightly further than the race distance, 24/25 miles.

That's the only route I've done. Done it once before at just under 7 hours, but going round with someone much slower. Mainly fast walking rather than running (this was pre-fellrunning me).

Only doubt is knee: sharp pain behind kneecap. Got weekend before last, rested for ToP, went round but got it again, so was ideally looking to rest for a couple of weeks, but this just sounds so tempting!!

Trouble is, at time, I don't get nothing but a dull ache, so can push through it. It's only after the pain really hits. Got strapping on now, and the niggles are dying down. Would have rather rested it for longer, but you make a compelling case...

Will let you know beforehand, either way.

Thumbs down Re: Three Peaks Friday

It's no good. Been having the odd murmer from my knee, even today. Could probably get round but at what cost?

No, it's the right thing to do. You kids have fun now!

    Cheers,

    SS

Missed a good day SS it was quite eventful, a few snow flurries along the way, strong winds and a bit of drizzle. Also a lot of sunshine and a really quality day 5hrs 20 round, the boggy bit wasn't too boggy but quite muddy all round the route.

Was thinking of you guys today and wishing I was there. Still, did the right thing. Maybe some other time? Glad you enjoyed it!
