Which of these would be recomended? Looking for short classic fell races, not trails, good descents, steep ascents stuff.
Thinking of coming up to the lakes and combing Blakes Heaven and Fairmile on the Sunday?
Would they be worth a trip from North Wales for?
Fairmile is about the best of the lot and definately worth a trip. A classic Howgill up and down. Hope to see you there. You'll not believe there could be such a good race completely in view from the M6.
Fitness can't be stored. It must be earned over and over, indefinitely.
Cheers, wifes just come back from the physio and has been told she may have a stress fracture in her foot putting her out for a few months, if she is I doubt she'll be interested in getting away to those so may give them a miss. Would work well though to combine Fairmile with a Tebay Race recce.
Sorry to hear about the stress fracture.
As Harry says, Fairmile is a classic. Last year there was a 30 mph frozen hoolie blowing up the Howgills which made for a very memorable race.

Apologies to everyone looking for the Scout Scar results. I've been on my hols and only just got back today... bad timing I know.

Next Sunday its Birkrigg Common at Ulverston. A good hill for the Juniors and a fast cross country for the seniors.
“Organising fell races doesn’t have to be complicated. All you need is a hill and some runners”
