Thinking of popping over to this before a day in the lakes and the Tim Watkins on Silver How on the Sunday.

Didn't go last year 'cos of the snow (the works van's a disaster on anything slippy) will be there Sat, should be good fun as I've done a lot of boggy/tussocky running recently.

Yes I agree great race today and excellent turnout. Thanks to the marshalls -it looked freezing up there! Wasnt cold running, just windy and boggy and lots of long grass for my wee legs to contend with. Extra time should be allowed forshort legged people.
Well done Amex-the power of positive thinking...and bloody mindedness, both good fell running traits. You are an inspiration.

I agree, Amex it's amazing you are racing again.
Maggie May, how did you do? Shame I couldn't come - we had no babysitters plus I have a bit of tonsilitis today.

The weather was pretty good today, I enjoyed the race till I slipped on the concrete footbridge and dislocated my shoulder. Thanks to the runners who stopped to check I was ok, the spectator who gave me a lift back from the road crossing, the first-aiders at the village hall and RO's and marshalls.
The doctor said it was just soft tissue damage, a bit sore, will be fine.
