    Ronhill base layers

Has anyone tried these? I always see them for sale in Keswick Mountain Sports for £10 - seems a bit of a bargain as to my untrained eye the fabric looks exactly the same as Helly Hansen base layers. When it comes to it though, I always plump for HH at twice the price as I know they work - am I just being a mug and falling for marketing?

    Cheers,
    TT

Had two of these in the past, not as warm as HH and rub yer tender spots
Only use them for short runs to work now, HH for everything else.

I got one of the Ron Hill tops from KMS that were £20, allegedly rduced from about twice that. Quite pleased with it - I agree its not as warm as a helly but I often dont want something that warm and it fills the gap between running in just a vest and running in a helly nicely. Its a smoother fabric, doesn't rub and has a short zip to let fresh air in (or the smell out, one or the other) - anyway I would recommend it.
In their small shop directly over the road they had sealskins gloves and socks for £10 a couple of weeks ago - just XL and small but the XL gloves aren't actually that big. The gloves were the fully waterproof bike ones, used them on my bike since and they were pretty good, will be just as good for winter walking etc, but too heavy for running.

Any chance of popping in to ebay on your way home and having a look there for us?
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.
