Should've got yourselves over to Kendal gang to run Helm Hill race. Short but tough and nice warmth and humidity did us just fine...Good to meet up with Bog Trotter again too. Harry H, A.G. (I think I saw him), Grifter, Chris (plus little J'Olivers), Wycoller, and other forumers no doubt, all had a good day out!
Who was playing in the athletics then. Was it a UK or European thing..?

the athletics was the european cup men finished 4th & women got promoted back up to the top division they won there match

Helm hill results not out yet but I think...Tom Addison won it with Alastair Dunn (HHH) 2nd and Mark Horrocks 3rd. Ladies was won by Natallie White, Kenny Stuart's daughter 2nd, Helen Glover 3rd.
Mid-way down the field...Grifter got the better of me (again..). Set off like a ruddy whippet 'e did
...and held it through the race (tho I dragged him back a bit on last hill) to finish about 30-40 secs ahead of me I guess. But no matter...next race beckons eh!
