Darwen with an "e" - just thought I'd point it out in case things have to be printed yet!

My apologies! I'm afraid the Calendar has been printed.

I have spelled "Darwen" correctly for the race entries themselves but incorrectly on two Championship pages I'm afraid!

Are these races run seperatly to the senior races or along-side?

And, whats the maximum age for a junoir. I think maybe if i can eventually afford to get a car, i may attempt the 2010 season.

Most but not all the races are run alongside a Senior event. I understand that this year the Ambleside race will just be a junior event. Sometimes if the Senior event is a Short category race the oldest juniors run in this instead of a separate race.

To be eligible to compete in the Junior English Championship you have to be under 18 on the 1st of Jan of the year in question. So if you are 18 today, Jan. 2nd, you are still eligible to compete in the 2009 Junior Champs. However if you were 18 yesterday you wouldn't be!

If you were 18 on 14 July 2008 then you were also over 18 on 1 January 2009 and therefore you are no longer classed as an under 18 in Junior fell races for 2009.

For the Senior English and British Championships ages for all categories are ages on the day of the individual races.

Therefore you can compete in the U23/Over18 category of a Championship race from the day you are 18 until the day you are 23.
