We'll be there. Don't know the area, looks more like farmland than fells! We did the Kinder one last month, which was great, missed the September one which was also quite agricultural judging by the maps.
looking forward to it, even more interesting if theres a bit of snow

I am going too. Sorry don't know the area either.
i am supposed to be going, but as my car is now no more i cant
i've looked at a map of area, there's some suprisingly steep hills and cliff type areas around there
go play on the m 6, now, how does that sound
Only places I've been round there are Stoney Middleton and Horseshoe Quarry, where the cliffs are indeed quite steep! I'd be surprised if the course took us in that direction as the road is really busy, but you never know
I don't know anything about the event but the area is on the borderline of the white and dark peak regions. There are both Limestone cliffs and Gritstone edges in very close proximity and the course could easily take in a bit of both. Obviously the hills are not massive but there is plenty of steep and rough ground to go at.
Enjoy
In case anyone's not received the email update:
We may need to move the start/finish venue as the sports pavilion has lost its water supply. Please check the website or ring our information line (01335 348603) on Saturday morning to check for any changes. If we do move it won't be too far and should use the same area.
We are toying with adding in some controls that may not use an electronic control box so please bring a pencil or marker pen with you (as well as the other official kit)
Eyam Moor and Bretton Clough are well within range and there is Abney Clough (a bit more agricultural but quite interesting nevertheless) and possibly Abney Moor a bit further afield.
cheers for info, looking forward to it, must remember waterproof pen
darth, shame you cant make it, cld have introduced selves before 3 ps recce
