I think as Mr Raven and I proved at The Calderdale Relay, we are not the most adept fell runners (especially when it comes to finding the way).

The idea behind Elaces is to produce a higher quality and better value version to the brand from across the US. As well as supporting charities such as Sport Relief, I'm also keen to get the laces used in Athletics and running (instead of just just triathlon and other multisports). The laces have worked for me and I've had a positive response from others who've tried them. I am especially glad not to have to keep re-tieing my laces during a run and have found them useful for putting your race shoes on quickly before the start.

In terms of durability the laces I'm using have survived over 600 miles (2 months) of smashing through water, mud and ice (I've been training almost entirely off road, preparing for XC season) without any sign of deterioration, which is not surprising given the elastic is designed for use offshore in the southern ocean.

I've never had to do that anyway. You need to learn how to tie the Booth knot.
