My mum and dad always left out a mince pie and a small glass of sherry (always Harveys Bristol Cream) for Santa and in the morning they were always gone!

We always leave a carrot & a wee Whisky out on the step.........in the morning the carrot has a bite out of it & the Whisky is always finished

My kids are not kids anymore (well 16 + but they always remind me to put the stuff out)

Hey, the other thing you've reminded me about is the traditional Christmas eve reading of "The night before Christmas" book we (me and Michael, my twin brother) had every year. A rather old and tired book that seemed to be made entirely of sellotape!

Aww you should find the story online and maybe print another one off and send it to your brother, yes i remember also the baubles had more history on them than the dust in the box, whose dumb idea was it to make baubles out of silver glass type material, the times i remember Mum picking out bits from my toes...

I think I've seen our old copy of "The night before..." at my brother's - he has 3 sons. I'll ask him next time I speak to him about it!
