Best (Running Related, sort of) Entering a Duathlon having done minimal training and coming in the top 50%, Having actually done one fell race!
Best (even more sort of related) Having competitors entering the races I help organise that have raised over 10K for various charities
Worst - Reading back that I planned to do the whole of the Mary Townley loop this year and wimping out big style. In fact just not training enough to do small/average events.
www.vlaevents.co.uk Fancy something different?
Best: staying relatively injury free by my standards; managing a 2hr 10mins plus solo run over and around Simon's Seat area; completing 1.5 fell races.
Worst: Only completing 1.5 fell races (mind you the 'jog' back to the finish at Withins skyline from the top after my fall was only slightly shorter than the race route!!).
Best: Completing the Paddy Buckley round in under 24 hours.
Helping Bill, Will and Ian with their BGs.
Worst: Being forced into submission 2/3 of the way into the Tour of Mont Blanc.
Best - introducing 30 people to the joys of fell running - 29 of them loved it and will be back for more, 1 (a Yank) probably won't
Worst - My own performance at said fell race - I never was any good but...
Best - completing my first AL at Langdale in October and loving it!!
Worst - being on the Bingley Ladies A Team for the Caderdale Way Relay and being told we had won...only then to be told the next day that we hadnt and had to give the prize back! I'd bragged about it to everyone...still pleased I made the A team though!
Why not run in the rain?
