At least you both beat that Ron Hill fella !
Still love the fact that he just turns up and runs/supports local races.

Anyone else on here do this last Sunday? It was my first time - great fun and big turn-out. I wished I'd worn my La Sportivas with all that sliding around in the mud in road shoes. It was my first visit to Reddish Vale, even though I've lived here all my life. The effort did the trick of burning the cold out of me I'd been fighting.
It was good to meet TomS doing his usual sterling marshalling job, and plod queen (I think) afterwards. It was such a big turn-out, with ~100 EODs I believe, that they ran out of race numbers. Luckily it wasn't raining because I don't think the second-hand entry forms would have lasted very long.
Nick - saw you in the results - I agree it's a tremendous little race, nicely varied - I've done it a couple of times in the past, and had intended to do it this year, but decided to be sensible as rebuilding fitness after recent minor knee probs
