    Buttermere Round

This 22miler is on in Feb. Great route. Great organisation by Keswick. Ive persuaded several road running mates to do it with me this year. Anybody else intending to?

Just looked at Keswick site. This sounds good and for someone who spent years road running before discovering the cult of fell running, it means I won't have to worry about usual mincing on rough descents on a run in the Lakes! Am hoping to do this although doing Carnethy 5 saturday, but will be good training if can do both.

Top marks to Alan R and his Keswick crew for organising this today. Not a bad day weatherwise, bit rainy in first few miles but milder than of late meant no ice on the often treacherous descent off honister.
Got 10th for my own efforts - 10mins faster than last year.
Ladies course record fell after 20+ years.

    Re: Buttermere Round

I would really love to, but I think it might kill me aint ran that far since edinb marathon in may...... and have travelled over twice to do this and never actually ever managed to run it, thwarted by nature both times, once got stucjk on impassable ice in the car approaching top of newlands from buttermere, so couldnt make start and turned round went for a run round loweswater fells, other time i seem to recall it being postponed due to snow/ice, one day, one day..:-) enjoy and have a good race
