    If you don't want to wait to see if you get on the Navigation course
    you could always go to MDOCs Saturday Challenges

    they have courses suitable for beginners
    or SELOC have an event at Jumbles Country Park Bolton on 28 February

    Both would give you tips on navigation

    The steepest and longest bit of descent on Sunday's run was on tarmac. So I leaned forward. Interesting. A bit like roller skating without wheels. Will try off road soon
