So Pudgy is the 100th then. If that doesn't take the biscuit or in this case the cake!

I want a bit of advise please.
I am likely to be at the race as my daughter will be in the Junior FRA race.
I am also doing the 3 peaks the week after - and a rookie at the event.
Do you think it silly to do this nice and steady the week before? I fancy a crack, but don't want to ruin 5 months prep for the 3 peaks.
Wyn I'm down as Adrian Hoope, sorry should be Hope
Thanks
I ran the Waltz, followed by the 3Ps (then a marathon the week after that), and just took the whole lot nice and steady. If you feel up to it, you probably are, as long as you've got the climb and a few long runs, in your legs.
All that exertion set me up for quite a good season in '06. Legs didn't fall off til sept and about 50 races later.
Well thats what I did last year and I'll be doing the same again this year. Didn't find it affected my style. Having said that I'm at the other end of the field to you and I haven't spent the last 5 months preparing (spent most of the last month off running cos of various colds etc).
Also you lose that crucial extra day's recovery this year with the 3P's being on the Saturday.
I know I'll get slated, but I don't think the Annie W is an overly tough race if you've got the training in the bank for the 3 p's. I really enjoyed it last year, I just wish I'd done more than 3 weeks training in the 3 months leading up to it. This year isn't starting out much better!
Oh yeah, remember running past you on the flat bit
'Spose it's like anything. A 5K is tough if you run it fast enough. My legs got wobbly round High Spy. For WP it isn't how he feels on the day, it's how quickly he recovers. The pace won't be fast round the Waltz, it's the up and down that get you. If you've done enough of this in training, you should recover fine.
