    Today's book

Ok, not everyone has time to read books but I always get a chapter (or 6) in before bed. And depending on how much of IDPs "MR" ale I've had....

What's anyone reading at the mo'?

Nearly finished Stephen Bach's biography of Leni Riefenstahl. Masterful stuff.

    C'mon bookworms!

I'm working my way through The Dirty Dozen - a collection of stories from the old Commando comics.

I hope you're re-enacting them with the eagle eyed action man!

Love that war stuff, grew up with it! Reading Victor, Warlord et al.

Interesting stuff about Leni Riefenstahl how she became so influential with Hitler and made the most famous propaganda film ever, Triumph of the Will. Mind boggling how Hitler ever got away with it all....and how the german people let him....

I'm afraid I was a product of the burgeoning cultural hegemony of the good ole US of A...it was GI Joe for me.

I've now realised the error of my ways, and have a tub of plastic soldiers I play with. No skool like the old skool.

There was something similar on radio 4 recently - well re-enacted I thought, rather depressing as is the subject matter but compelling all the same
