Thanks, Helen. I put that time in as a placeholder while I went through the paper results. I've now updated the page with your proper time, which was 83:27 and puts you in about 24th place. I can't be sure because the stopwatch and dibber records always differ slightly, so please feel free to correct the running order.
I've also adjusted all the other times slightly. Our finish boxes were running about 20 seconds fast, so everyone has done slightly better than they thought.
I've done worse than I thought since I'm down as DNF and definitely finished.
Not that it makes much difference, and nor am I much concerned, but less than half the field are a place worse off than they appear :wink:
Thanks wrross, didn't realise they were taking times at the finish. Sounds like a nightmare sorting it out, malfunctioning runners and dibbers..
Are results with leg times going to be published? (when they're ready of course!)

cheers for a great race! Anyone know how long they've had the downhill split for? Just for personal reference, y'know...

We've only been giving downhill prizes for a couple of years but the records go back a bit further.
This year's Black Combe race is on Saturday and the pies are ordered. The course is in quite good shape apart from a tiny bit of mud in the start field and we should have a bit of snow for you on top. 12pm at Silecroft Village Hall, as always. More information on the website.
Hoping to be there for another go at this great race.
And improve a couple of my split times.
planning on being there to defend (better?) my downhill mark. However we'll see how lethargy goes.
