    Memory Map and Macs

I have finally had enough of Windows and am about to buy an i-Mac.
Anyone know if there is a version of Memory Map that will run on a Mac?

No there bl**dy isn't. Drives me nuts!
Seriously, doesn't seem to any decent mapping software for macs. I ask down the local Apple store every now and again but haven't for a while. Anquet threatened for a bit but i don't think it got anywhere. There is stuff for offshore type navigation, but unless you have a yacht.....

But, if you get a new Mac you can run (hateful)Windows PC programmes on it.....in which case the standard Memory map stuff will work

Hmmmm, perhaps that is all the excuse I need to get a new one!!!!

Depending on what you need to do you could try the Linux/open source route... I'm finally going down this route because I'm sick of the hassle of slow running Microsoft programs... All my favourite software doesn't need windows anyway.

Gulp, better check first as I have never done it myself, mines a few years old, but I reckon you can.

My son has a Mac at uni, so I will ask him to check it out for me.
I'm definitely going down the Mac route anyway - Vista drives me into outer space!

No-one has anything good to say about vista.

Is memory map preferred to the 3D tracklogs then?

Don't mind really so long as I have some decent mapping software.
I've used both Anquet and Memory Map, but not Tracklogs.
I guess you use Tracklogs with GPS?
I don't have a GPS and have no interest in acquiring one.

Great for reviewing your run/route. You don't actually have to use a GPS to help you find your way.
