I did it with a friend 2 years ago with the aim of getting her round and we were right at the back (literally!).....managed ok and didn't get lost although it WAS a lovely day and you could see quite clearly ahead. To be honest I did keep running ahead when people got out of view just to check which way they had gone then ran back again...I'm sure you'll be fine though

The last section was marshalled and flagged too.

someone followed my straying on the Kinder Trog last year - I was only nipping into a grough for a pee.

Having said that, there's a few groughs which will cut off the odd corner but it's a only a minute here and there. If you start running too fast after a Pennine vest they make take fright and think you're after their jelly babies. Creep up on them very slowly and offer them some beer from your water bottle in return for LK

The route is easy to follow IF there is no fog. The last third of the route over Kinder Low can be strangely deceptive in low cloud. I must have been around that course about 10 times, and I still get lost there. I think a recce would be wise, and if the mist decends in the last third, keep heading south.

Yes, fine in clear viz but difficult over the top in fog.

Last year due to erosion the difficult bit was fully flagged so it was very easy, but I assume that won't be the case this year.

    I'd definitely reccie.

    filling up fast this one
I think a lot of clubs have it in their champs this year

after a half-decent trot at Ras yr Aran, I'm now getting quite optimistic of knocking a couple of minutes off my Downfall time of last year...
