    An Innov8 miracle?

I have had a pair of Mudclaw 270s since March 2008. They debuted at Edale and did loads of longs last year, including the OCTs.

The grip is not what it could be (so I only use them for training) but the uppers are still in reasonable shape; one small nick in the black protective rand is the only visible damage.

(Don't ask me what I'm doing right, I've no idea!)

BUT........the laces are shot to bits and have snapped.

So, dear Mr Innov8 Insider, please can you fix it for me to have a new pair of 270 laces so I can keep on using my shoes. They have miles left in them yet.

My mudclaw 270 laces are fine, but the uppers are a bit knackered.

Can we set up some sort of shoe-dating thing?

And another one with knackered uppers that are falling to bits but good laces... probably preserved from having been frozen a lot over the winter

The soles are still ok too, so can I please have some new uppers Mr Inov8 Insider, please?

Han, you and Mud are doing something wrong.

Get some flat feet and full length orthotics, they seem to do the trick.

I have some 270s with worn out soles, uppers and laces. Can I have some new shoes please?

I also have some 270 laces in reasonable nick on shoes that have soles worn out, so happy to forward to you BGSec. You can even have the whole shoes if you can make use of them. Size 9 any good?

Yep, Mud and I are definitely doing something wrong Not sure what though...

My inov8's always wear out really quickly, well the uppers do. I suspect it has to do with the amount of boggy stuff we run in? Dartmoor, where Mud runs mainly, has some great, acidic boggy stuff to rot away uppers quite happily, as do a lot of sections on my local runs in the Black Mountains... Regular crossings of Mortcrag Moor on BG recce's don't help me either

Top man Marvin. I'm 9.5 so will work a treat. Stick 'em in the post, I'll PM you.

(I'm really surprised the laces have gone. I still have Walsh laces I keep as spares even after the shoes are long dead and gone.)
