    weekend run and nav?

A friend has made a suggestion, wondering what you all thought of this, would be great for new people and people like me who still cant fell run!!

there are courses where you can go off running/map reading etc. but how about informal weekends perhaps in pendle/yorkshire. In summer, near a pub, perhaps camping or bunkhouse. Two runs (satur day and sunday) not too long, where all take it in turns in navigating to checkpoints. Obviouslty great if more experienced runners could make it too. would be a great social
Let me know what you think, i can suggest a couple of dates and venues
go play on the m 6, now, how does that sound

This sounds good - I'd definitely be interested.

I have an orienteering background but am new to fell running.

Sounds like a plan, and a cracking way to spend a weekend. Anytime after my knees are working would be grand.

Stef, would keep your orienteering skills under wraps, we'll all just rely on you!!

Sounds excellent, combines many of my favourite things! I do of course have vast experience of navigation (mainly of the WTFAI variety)

If the checkpoints were ice cream vans, you would find the perfect line!
