    3 Peaks Yacht Race

I'm looking for a runner to make up a team of 5 for this year's 3 Peaks Yacht Race.

We are are aiming to compete in the Tilman Trophy - where 4 of the 5 complete at least one summit.

Anybody interested in a running, sailing, cycling and rowing challenge - drop me a line. The race details are at www.threepeaksyachtrace.co.uk.

Ian, we charter the yacht Stormer (38' Westerly Typhoon) from Crinan. In 2005 she was the fastest boat from Whitehaven to Corpach - in 2007 it was dismasted in the Irish sea and has only just been re-rigged. The draught is 1.8m - so not too bad and she performs well in heavy seas.
Two of the crew are serious engineers who have built some excellent sliding seat rowing rigs - so if becalmed or light airs 2 men are row at 2.5 knots.
    I hope that helps.

Never really sailed before but am an experienced runner and am keen to have a go in his years race. Done plenty of ultras and MM's. Dates are fine as i was looking to jump in with another team (not happened unfortunately) so cleared diary already.

PM me if you are interested

Thanks for the interest Team Pie. Marvin and I had a long chat last night and he seemed a good fit for the team. We're given each other 24 hrs to reflect - if it doesn't work out I'd really be straight back to you.

    Hi Nick

I was trying to pull up the results from 2005-2007 but they seem to have dropped off the site. now they are only showing last years results.

I was in the 2005 and 2006 race. good fun and would definately do it again but I really ought to support the guys who helped me on my BG try their attempt.

    Good luck

Our team is GFT Adventura. GFT Adventura won Kings of the Mountains on all three last year thanks to Chris and Alan. We are in a brand new boat for this years event. We are based in Conwy, so close to Snowdon and of course the Straits. We plane to start training in March. We would prefer a pair of runners as teamwork is everything. No need to understand sailing, but 'mucking in' is important.
i have posted this also in 'down the pub' forum, so apolgies if you have already seen it.
