Compression tights-How tight?!

Howdy folks

Just treated myself to a pair of DHB Compression tights, £29 off Wiggle=BARGAIN!!!!
(Just couldn't afford/justify Skins).
My ridiculous question of the day is.....
Just how tight should the buggers be, to be of best effect.
My problem is that I'm between sizes.
Too tall for a medium, too skinny for a large.
The mediums are crazily tight, the large feel like a pair of tracksters!
Opting for the Medium.
Any users out there have any opinions on this matter??????

It may depend on the fabric, I've not seen the DHBs but a lot of friends have Skins and these are very thin; hence you can run in them but my pair are LineBreak which is made of a different material. I could not run in mine but they are great at compression after a run which was what I wanted. I'm thinking of just using compression socks/leggings for recovery as I've never had a problem on the move so ordinary (cheap) kit does me.

Too get the benefit of the compression, I'd opt for the tighter, otherwise, by the sounds of it, you'd be better off saving some spends and just buying a pair of Ron Hills. If it's too tight, you might have to dip out, I'm afraid!

Or you could always put on a bit of weight?

i'd second the above

skins have a chart which usefully instructs what size garment for body weight and height etc

I've found this info of theirs to be pretty useless and take a size smaller than they recommend which fits fine and gives a nice secure feeling

what you probably have to factor in is that you probably get a reduced optimal wear from the garment, but they' have a short lifespan anyway

My thoughts when i read that was i hope your missus and you are not trying for a baby! other than that, ouch sounds painful, but you know Gok Wan would be proud of you! those horrible magic knickers he brought out!

And price, i just spent that on a sports bra, and you get more material in yours!!!

They are really obscenely tight, Gok's "Muffintopstopperpants are baggyslackers in comparison.
Already had Aled Jones (thinking about releasing an "Early Days" CD) on the phone asking to borrow them.
If they don't make my legs recover from training, nothing will.
Only worried that I may faint after more than 10mins wear...........
