    Best bumbag?

never really run with one before, but it seems to me it's between the Rock & Run and the Lowe Alpine, which both seem to be stable and light and simple and comfortable.

    Correct?

always been a bit wary of bladders - I've found the rucksack ones annoying.

'Bite and suck until you're blue in the face and trip over the next bit of uneven ground' System (TM).

A pouch of lucozade sport in the belt-pocket I was hoping would do the trick for up to 12 miles or so....

Surely you wouldnt need a drink for races upto 12 miles.

Just buy a pete bland special for £10 and be done with it

maybe. I sweat like a cartoon, but you're right two hours isn't long

sure the PB'd be fine, thanks.

I'm going blind into my first race, never having run wearing one of these things before, so was just trying to make sure I don't get summat that's going to jiggle around all over the shop ...

I've got the PB one and it doesn't jiggle about if you tighten the compression straps up properly.

Feet, I agree, I've numerous bumbags but for simplicity and lightness the PB one is the best. The compression straps are very good which means if you have to take your jacket out and wear it you can tighten it up and it still doesn't bounce around.
