Yep - 2001, 03, 05 and 06 - as you can see I like this race

The english version of the website doesn't seem to be working at the moment, although the Icelandic one's ok

Plus points - amazing scenery especially on the first two legs (although anyone running last year probably won't have seen much of it due to the weather!), very friendly, BBQ hot showers and hot tub at the finish.

Minus points - expensive (although when you see the logistics you can see why), the weather can be extremely variable eg 2003 was almost too hot, 2006 was almost postponed at the last minute due to bad weather, long day - 4.30am from Reykjavik and often not back until midnight depending on problems getting the buses back out of þorsmörk eg river crossings, punctures, break downs
