It doesn't clash with the Skyline .

This used to be a road and fell relay but became a straight fell race a few years ago. The course may have changed since I last ran it in 2004 but then it was basically out of the back of the cricket club, round the edge of the golf course, south and then south west to join the Pennine Way just beyond Black Moss Res, north west along the PW for a bit and then north to cross the road and up Pule Hill, a flagged loop round the back of the hill to the road junction at 038101 then back round the golf course to the cricket club.

    Can anyone rename this thread?

I'm planning to be at the Ian Roberts race - a nice gentle one before the Skyline a week later.

Mrs Stagger said they were appearing from all directions.

Its was commented on that some may have taken the old route

    Re: Ian Roberts Fell Race

Really enjoyed this very runnable race. The marking was excellent I don't understand how so many people went wrong.

The finish however was not very clear and I'm not surprised they cocked up the results. If it had happened down our way there would have been a riot, but most people seemed to just shrug their shoulders as these things happen.

I think they got far more entries than they anticipated so the spread at the end was even more commendable.
