    Steve Barlow

I have just heard the sad news via the Horwich website that Steve Barlow from Horwich has died after a long illness.
He was a well respected runner and served on the FRA Committee.

    Re: Steve Barlow

I've just got back from a week in the Lakes to see the news. Tonight is the club presentation which will obviously be very sad but then Steve is the type of person who would want us to celebrate him rather than just be sad - but it will be very difficult. Steve ranks among the likes of Jack Prescott as being the lifeblood of Horwich RMI. He joined at the age of 12 and stayed for the whole of his life, which at 48 years is far far too short.

Really sad news. I got to know Steve during my couple of England appearances with the vets at Knockdhu a few years back.
I was feeling a bit down with my current crop of injuries, this puts it in the proper perspective.
