Well done to Fell Shoe Shuffler who succeeded on the Joss Naylor Challenge on Saturday - see http://fss55at55.blogspot.com/2009/0...rfect-day.html
It was a cracking day in the Lakes, in fact the whole weekend was superb spring weather.

Well done FSS
Hopefully I will be part of a succesful attempt in a few weeks.
Yes well done FSS what a cracking day that was you didn't need a navigator
Nice to meet Joss as well, he left some of your support in his wake on the way up to Styhead, next time I support one of these I'll give him some water to carry
Bill
Well done Ian!
Congratulations Ian.
Blimey, less than 4 weeks to go until my attempt. Not to worry, Daz'll drag me round!
Thanks all
Just a perfect day in the fells. Met some old friends Baggins, Full Moon Addict and Joss at Sty Head. Made Donkarlo run all the way from Pooley Bridge to Sty Head to meet Joss.
Made some new ones, Duncs & Rhiannon who took the portrait of Joss that is on my blog now (see below) and Iain who joined us on Arthur's Pike and posted some great pictures.
Lots of people helped and had a great day out too, I've thanked them all, (I think, I hope) and there were too many to list here but my wife, Pauline, deserves special thanks for putting up with me, all the miles and then managing the road support. I was so pleased when she met us on Pillar to run the rest of the leg. Baggins must have wondered what was going on as there were more and more joined in as we neared Middlefell for the final descent to Greendale Bridge.
Fell running at its very best.
Well done Ian,
It was, as you say a great day, my legs are slightly stiff still but I think I'll remember that day for a while longer. As you have said absolutely perfect, just hope my BG is as enjoyable
See you at the Fellsman
Fantastically well done FSS, and as last one in on the team, I can only say I am so glad to have made it.
A brilliant day.
Rhiannon
