If it's cheap and cheerful you want Danbert, have a look in Tesco / Asda.

I have an mp3 with radio and use the radio more when running. The music varies and you can get the sport on 5 live (even the london marathon was on). In the hills DAB reception is usually pants though, FM is much more reliable, so probably not worth paying the extra for DAB unless you want the sport and reruns of old radio comedy on BBC 7 (some of which is really funny).
Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.
I definately recommend the 2nd Gen iPod Shuffle. Cheap, extremely light, clips to anywhere and doesn't move whilst running.
I clip mine to my shorts....put the headphone wire under my top and it works really well. The Sennheiser CX300 headphones are worth a try too. They're about £30 from dabs. The sound quality is excellent for the price.
Agree with MarkFitz:
I use a 2nd generation iPod shuffle with Sennheiser headphones and it's really good. I can't manage most earpieces and headphones, and find them pathetic and painful; I've only got little ears (don't laugh).
But anyone interested ought to check out the Sennheiser PMX70 (Sportline) model - only £13.95 from Amazon and very good.
