That's the one run from the village show field, mid-summer I think.

I think this Lothersdale race had been held for 15 or 20 years

Or Cyclocross - Yorkshire summer series Oakbank school, Keighley 7.30pm start same day.

Come and do this instead, you know Brett doesn't like people spoiling his races by turning up and running them.

Is the Lothersdale fell race a tough race, are there many steep hills.

There's a short steepish section near the start but other than that it is fairly easy angled. When I say short I mean in the order of ten yards or so.

Any race is as tough as you want it to be

    Lothersdale Fell Race 02/05/09

Has anyone done this race before, has anyone got any training tips for the race. Is it a hard course, anyone know any short cuts and routes.

    Thanks.

    Re: Lothersdale Fell Race 02/0

Not really a need for short cuts. Start is relatively steep then steady uphill. Beware fast downhillers nearer the top (am not fast runner). Turn at top and shoot downhill, last descent is quite a giggle, fast and bit uneven but easily runnable. No real issues.
Used by Brett and others as a night 'timed event', lst time I did it, it was snowing heavily!!!
Good event as all of Bretts are.
