    Life without TV?

Saturday night television (along with most other nights tbh) is utter tripe. Same old re-runs, repeats and shows that have been on forever. Consequently I'm thinking of axing my television! Any thoughts? I think someone told me there's at least one regular forumite who doesn't have one

Oh, and I've conviently forgotten about Strictly as the next series won't be on for months

I don't own a tv (they keep sending me letters about my tv licence though). Haven't missed it in three years. Couldn't do without broadband though.

Must be at least two non-tv forumites as the one I'd heard about wasn't you H

    Re: Life without TV?

There we are, two of us already

My ex husband used to be glued to the thing at all times when he wasn't working... I never cared much, only ever watched the odd programme, so when we split up I just never got one. Not missed it yet in 3.5 years... But like Sken, I would not want to be without broadband...

Suppose I spend my time on the internet in stead of watching tv

I can relate interesting tales about the tv licence people too Sken

Especially the Dutch ones. Before I moved in with my ex hb, I had no tv either, but every year the licence people would come round in Holland, to check if I did not have one hidden... One year the guy checked inside the oven!!!!

And quite how you hide one under a very low futon bed, I don't know, but one checked that too one year... and between the plants on the balcony!

You can watch most things worth watching on the internet, at times that suit you... and as I have a latop, anywhere in the house and garden! My wireless broadband would probably stretch to the pub too LOL!
