Hi all,

Thought it might be of interest to some here that the Irish Wicklow Round was completed within 24 hours for the first time yesterday.

Current holder of the Irish Championship women's title and "Queen of the Mountains" Moire O'Sullivan completed the Round in 22 hours 58 minutes in yesterday's sunny conditions thus becoming the first person to do so (in her 2nd attempt) and setting a new women's record.

Only later the same day, current Irish 24-hour track record holder Eoin Keith set a new men's record when he completed the Round in 17h53m45s. Eoin Keith also holds the record for the 132km "Wicklow Way" in 13h46m.

A third attempt is believed to be under way this Summer while an earlier attempt by Adrian Tucker failed earlier in the year.

Note the IMRA website does not currently feature this newest information on the Round as we are having some issues with updating that page and are working on it.
