Really pleased that you both made it round, well done to both of you. To come through the weather on the earlier stages and still be as upbeat and strong as you were, takes a lot of doing.

We got round. Weather on leg 2 was also challenging. It didn't look too bad going up Clough Head, but as soon as we got over the top the wind picked up and the visibility was as low as I have ever seen it. Fortunately we had Steve Birkinshaw on this leg otherwise we might have been some time up on the ridge! We still lost time, but not much. On leg 3, 4 & 5 the weather was fine. James had some cramp issues and I was having to wait for him a couple of minutes at each summit, so we split up after Scafell. I completed in 22:20 and he did 23:25.

Ponies got out on a Borrowdale recce on saturday and met a BGer with a single supporter going up Scafell, he was an hour down but looked strong, hope he made it round
