    BG 11th July Broad Stand

Can anyone tell me if there are currently any ropes left in place at Broad Stand? I am aware of the bolt saga, but has anyone replaced the handlines that previously existed?
Failing that, has anyone arranged for ropes to be in place around 0800-0900hrs on Sat 11th July?
    Cheers, Bowser.

There are no ropes in place on Broad Stand and they will not be replaced.

Have a read of this thread

I've done via Broad Stand and via Foxes tarn on consecutive weekends and the difference was only 8 mins. that was with no other parties on Broad Stand plus being climbers we were not hanging about.

Last time I went via Foxes I think we lost about 5 mins (compared with the party which were just behind us at Mickledore). Add to that the certainty that you won't be held up by other parties and the fact that you won't be wasting nervous energy ... just go via Foxes Tarn

    Thanks for the info everyone.
I'll forgive Nee Bother his cynical comment as he is making assumptions and doesn't know our plans.

Is the route past Foxes Tarn still well definable after the Great Lakes Run the other week ?

    Bowser.
Sorry Bowser, i'm always jumping in feet first (without a rope usually )

I did assume without knowing the details

I still prefer Lords Rake and up the gully which I did on my round, however i'm not a climber.

    Apology accepted Nee Bother.
As I will be approaching downwards rather than upwards, what is Lords Rake like as a descent possibility then? I'm assuming [for the sake of your answer] there would be no-one climbing up below me.
    Cheers, Bowser.

Could be a bit of a scramble down the gully, as its 'hands on' going up-over.

May be best if the anti clockwise folk have any views as i've never gone that direction.
