    Replacement for RX Terrains

I was quite happy racing in Mudclaw 270s, and training in RX Terrains.

(I'd be quite happy to train in Mudclaw 270s, but I can't afford to).

But now they don't do the nice cheap and sensible RX Terrains any more. I know not everyone got on with them, but they fitted my lovely feet.

So what have people who used-to-use them moved on to that is most similar (I think I may mean cheap)?

The old mountain bear gladiators are £35 a pop and quite a few forumites like thenm as do many club members.

I don't always agree with these young upstarts!! But TT has hit the nail bang on the head!! Gladiators are the cushtiest things that you will ever put on your feet.

I'm a big fan of the RX and find myself in a similar position. I as today (Mosdale, Bowscale Tarn, Bowscale, Glendermalkin and back) like to train in Adidas Kanidas, you can hammer it down without too much impact on the hard bits and the slight counter helps you learn how to balance and place your feet well; I love going into a difficult section fast to see if I can get through. When I go back to Walsh or RXs I feel really solid. The more I run in them the better I like them, only big areas of wet grass or grassy off path contouring gets them foxed. (c £40.00)
