Whats that like with getting muddy.
Ive been on the website and quite like it, but with the material of the strap it looks like it could go pretty manky when its been in some deep mud.

I see on the website there is a new one coming 'elite' or something, looks a different material so i wonder if that would cope better/worse with mud.

    Re: Carrying identification

locally I carry my mobile and sometimes a buisness card, (Well i might pick up work in the hills when I bump in to groups) Probably same in the lakes.

If I'm up in Scotland for a week doins long solo runs I print out two copies of prospective route( usually about 7-10 possibles as they can be weather/fittness dependant. routes are marked on with possible bad weather alt and escape route etc

My wife gets a copy and I take the rest, a quick text in the morning ie (route 3) and she knows where i am and the route for that day. On longer runs I may text the initials of the last summit I climbed and maybe an update.

Another thing alot of my kit has on is my name and Mobile fastened to the haul strap or handle (even my car keys) with abit of sellotape tape in a loop. I found this to be useful at big races or BGs when you may have a few people with say OMM packs. Quick cheap simple.

Another point is if you have your mobile on you do you have any thing listed uder I.C.E??

you may have 'home' but if you are out and you live alone or wife partner away etc then this may give your address but not much more if info needed quickly.

I've got wifes mob and work and mothers home and mobile.

Another vote for the Road ID. I have the bright red wrist strap one with name, address,NOK,allergies and blood type on it. The strap material itself is good. Its that synthetic nylon sort of stuff. Very light, I dont even notice it anymore. I wear it whenever I am out cycling, running and if I am out on a heavy nights drinking

Hehe, me too. Well my wife wouldn't be bothered anyhow . Even if I told my other half where I was going she wouldn't have a clue where that is or might be in any event so zero chance of search parties coming looking.
