Turns out I really did miss an opportunity: parents have rockd up earlier than planned. Bah!Wish I had now. It's a beautiful morning: Pendle has a crisp outline against the slowly lightening sky, and the moon is very bright. Would have been perfect.
C'est la vie. Will have to make up for this missed opportunity later.

Just glanced at this post and thought you said you drove an XR2! I was about to ask if it was a Mk1 or 2, don't see many of them around now all the kids are in Corsas and Saxos. Aye how was the run SS? I made it up onto Pendle around 10am for a walk with the mutts, saw plenty of runners out, alot with mutts as well!
