Well said Bobert, that night was quite surreal and it wasn't till I did it with Rod the other week that it started coming back to me and some of those moments where it seemed as though we were in the middle of nowhere we were only a few metres from the path. See you on Saturday Ali

Pleased to report that Alistair and Mike got round in 23:33, it was a tough day and they certainly earned it very wet and windy on Leg 3. Well done guys

Well done. I was thinking about you, particularly given the weather yesterday.

Pleased to hear you both made it round in time. After a rainy leg 1 I was struggling to sleep in my van due to the rain-noise on the roof. Then i drove home in heavy rain. I went to bed noting it was still raining, and when I got up again at 1300 it was raining quite heavily indeed.
Well done for continuing in such poor conditions. (and cheers for the bottle of wine, unecessary as it was, because I really did enjoy the run)

A large G&T (or two) and lots of rest.
Full recovery will take a few months!

In my case, for 'few' read 'about 9!'

Ibruprofen Gel helps slightly or Perskindol especially during the night,

It will take a while before you feel fully on form again, I slept the best I have for ages though for about a week later.

My legs are suffering a bit after leg 3, 4 & 5 especially the way we "sprinted" the road section at the end, very impressive.

You both did great, can't believe I managed to miss the Foxes tarn path and we lost that 30 min advantage we had at Scafell Pike but thats life. We were gaining time even across the rocky section from Bowfell onwards which is awesome considering the conditions.

You both worked for it and earned it, the conditions were not in your favour but the determination was there. Well done.
