    Several years ( ok, maybe three decades ) ago, my youngest brother and his regular climbing partner were "between jobs" and had this business plan ( dream?) of bottling Brownrigg Well water and marketing it. They even had the company logo sketched out .... a couple of pack horses carrying wooden barrels, heading up Sticks Pass.

    cheers for the replies. in the end the forecast was awful so we didnt bother coming up to the lakes but spent an enjoyable afternoon doing the edale skyline...i shall make a mental note of the brownrigg well and make sure i pay it a visit when i next get the chance
