    Hebden Games Sun 25th

Does this little BOFRA race go up toward Dumpit hill & back? States race start is 1pm but is that the 1st of the juniors races or the senior race? Any info would be good, might have a drive over tommoz.

Sports start at 1.00pm most go before senior fell race so it can be about 3.00pm.
It does head towards dumpit hill but turns right at the top of the crag before Dumpit and heads along the edge top before descending down.
Theres a beck and a couple of quite tall drystone walls to contend with.
    Very fast and lung bursting!!!

Cheers Grifter, thought the later time might be the case from previous BOFRA show races. If I get there for 2pm will I still be able to register and wotnot?

Depends who you are. I intend to illustrate very slow and lung bursting.

Cracking little course, just a little later starting that I expected (and finishing before Pudgy starts taking the p++s!!)
Great day for the kids there, what a belting family day out, a bit healthier and more constructive than Alton Towers and a damn site cheaper. Well done that man on the mike

I did. I was impressed by the man on the mike. How he could keep it up, and maintain interest, for that many hours is amazing. And no visible alcohol.

The senior race didn't start til about 4 o'clock (roughly when it started pissing down) but the sack races, egg and spoon and tug of war kept us entertained. I wondered why the kids seemed so keen, then I realised they won money. Fantastic. Just a shame I was disqualified in the U12 race.

Ady bought me a huge slab of choclate cake in an obvious and blatent attempt to sabotage my athletic prowess. I ate it anyway. The race was certainly short and sharp, and some of those walls you have to climb seem a lot higher to jump off than to climb up (wonder if those who maintain you should never climb walls, are still up there?). Oh yeah and I beat Ady (fat blobs of the world unite)

Enjoyed this race, the perfect antidote to Ennerdale, Wasdale etc. Think I'll do a few more of these BOFRA jobbies
