That'll be Roger Ingham MBE, the guy's a legend! He never sustained any running related injuries duing his career....the only two incidents that sidelined him were rescuing a baby from a burning building and diving into the road to save an old lady!

Don't believe this was Roger (seen him at Shortbank Olympics - proper games). No, it seems the Dales have more than one entertaining loud mouth (I mean that in the nicest possible way)

You doing Reeth AG. Ady's bullying me into it for a rematch

Nah, I will try to get a BOFRA in this year though.... probablly Burnsall. I want to see how much fitter I'll have got since sats FRA version. The 7kg of extra weight I've put on seem to be making more of an impact on steep races!

If he had a West Country burr then it sounds like it was Ian Douglass, Hebden resident and MC at Wharfedale Rugby during winter (and my old geography teacher).

I believe it was Ian - Roger was busy at Malham on Saturday and Kilnsey.

Took the mickey out of my daughter who has collapsed at the finish line at Malham.

On a more serious note - anyone know how the young lass is who got injured in the wheelbarrow race? This is why our races were late starting.

Nobody had heard anything at Reeth and there were quite a few that were also at Hebdon. I believe the family were up here on holiday so maybe no local connections?

    Try http://www.bofra.co.uk/fixtures.php#Aug

The senior race probably won't start much before 3, but I can recommend the chocolate cake and general jollity while you're waiting.
