Will you be running in these at the Downfall on Sunday? I'd like a look.

I.m surprised more fell runners don't have a look at orienteering shoes, as generally orienteers run through tougher terrain (tending to run direct rather than on paths) they generally have tougher uppers than Inovs - VJ, Olway and Jalas have some excellent models

Steam thing worked for me. I just wish that they would tell you this when you buy them. It's so easy to fix.

    Re: innov8 HEELS

I tried it and it knackered all the support in the shoes.

I just wear 2 pairs of socks in the Mudroc 290's and that stops the rubbing.

I don't have any problems with any of the other Inov8s.

I've have some walsh pbs that fit really nice, but running over rough ground hurts my feet.

Next race will be Caldervale 10 on Good Friday, R Pike on Saturday then 3 Peaks. Send me a pm if you will be at any of them and I'll bring them along.

The LSR studs are about the size of Mudclaw studs, perhaps a little larger, and round. The rubber is pretty soft so you don't want to wear them on hard ground.

Costs £17.00 plus postage and turnround was about 2 weeks

    Re: innov8 HEELS

I tried with a pair of Mudclaws and it worked fine. However I have a new pair of Flyrocs and it hasn't worked on those. Might have another go as I intend to use them if possible for the Three Peaks at the end of the month.

I've found with Inov8 shoes that some are crippling - I can't even walk two paces in the shop and others are fine - the Flyrocs are generally OK - I did a 12 mile run in them at the weekend but one heel is just a bit uncomfortable and needs sorting.
